Ingredients matter. Why? Because the majority of men and women using over-the-counter skin care products have no idea that around 10% of those ingredients are carcinogenic in nature. With the skin as our largest organ, I thought it was time people took better care of what protects our precious insides, our epidermis.
The reason I formulated Day One. products using natural and organic ingredients is I care about what I put on your body as much as I care about what I put on mine. I started this line under a different name 3 years ago and decided that in order to empower more people, I needed to find a better way to reach them and educate them...queue the name change to Day One. from Cannabath & Body, which is still our parent LLC.
Everything we manufacture, I've tested, and tested...and tested (my friends & family have been my greatest guinea pigs and I’m very grateful for them). I've formulated and reformulated each product so many times it would make your head spin, but that's the beauty of using all-natural ingredients. As we enter into a time when people are becoming more conscious about what they put in their bodies, it's been a standard of mine to be completely transparent about the ingredients I use and why. Holding myself to that standard, I've been able to connect with great suppliers that use organic and cruelty-free practices.
When it came to finding sustainable packaging, I decided on amber glass jars with recyclable plastic lids and paperboard push-up tubes. I don't want you to feel guilty about my packaging and I personally reuse my jars routinely and toss my Biggie & Deodorant tubes knowing they'll degrade into the earth with ingredients that nourish and not harm the environment.
There are a plethora of amazing and beneficial ingredients I personally love introducing to other people and I'm grateful that I can use some, if not all, of my other favorite ingredients, oils, butters, beers, and herbs from the beautiful Arizona desert to the coast of Morocco to the mountains of Pakistan.
I look forward to introducing you to more great all natural skincare and daily hygiene products as our company evolves and grows.
Thank you for joining me at the start of your own Day One. journey into clean skin care and cosmetics.
Day One. Owner/CEO,
Alexandra “Al” Stein
